Change, adventure and the unknown.

Asunto under sail

As the choas of the last few weeks begins to calm, and Asunto looks less like it was smacked by a stuff tornado and more like an ocean going vessel, it hits me. We are leaving. Really going. Sailing away.

I am a bit of a mess. Nervous, excited, perhaps in shock. Work is finished. Time to go! HOLY SHIT!

I think the hardest part is the unknown. Of course this is true of any change, the known is comfortable and familiar. The unknown is scary. But it is facing this fear and moving forward that shapes our lives and builds our character. So change, adventure and unknown, here we come!

  1. The trip sounds great! We will be heading down next year from Victoria on SV Bloom. If you happen to stop in Victoria on the way down it would be great to meet you and pick your brains about your trip.

  3. hello!
i have just today came across your website as i was searching you-tube videos of the bc west coast. I was so supprized to see that you guys had winter cruised to princess louisa inlet last winter, as i had spent christmas there myself! your videos represented my trip as though i had taken the videos myself! i was beside myself to see if you would of anchored in quarry bay of nelson island, as this is where my sailboat is moored, could you imagine seeing my boat on your video!! And only last week had i googled Sanfransico, just to see how far, and there you guys are! i so hope to meet one day, and sorry for all the exclamation marks, but you made my day.!

    • Thanks! Love that you could relate to the beauty of Princess Louisa. Hard to capture with a camera!
