Christmas on Asunto Part 1

Today we installed the first batch of Christmas lights. There is an annual light decorating contest at our Marina and this year we are looking for the win. The plan is to use multicolored strands for a ‘spinnaker’ off the forestay, white for the mast and main sail and green and red for the ‘running’ lights on the life lines. Next year we have dreams of a flying sleigh and 8 tiny reindeer.

Of course, Christmas isn’t complete without a tree, so we picked up a teeny tiny one in Squamish. Literally the smallest tree I have ever bought. So small we could trim it with Leatherman pliers and a Swiss Army knife.

We stuck it though the hole in our teak table and wedged the bottom into an empty tuna fish can with some water. Looks good!

We were welcomed home to a lovely lit up boat.
